It was established in 1954 with the aim of imparting catholic values coupled with normal education according to the Uganda National Curriculum to young girls who wished to join Bannabikira- Daughters of Mary Sisters

Welcome to the official website of St. Aloysius Girls Secondary School, Bwanda. Our school is a boarding high school for only Catholic girls between 12 and 18 years. It was founded i 1954 by the Daughters of Mary Sisters (Bannabikiira) and it has over the years promoted a holistic education approach to prepare young girls for extra ordinary service of the Church and the state.
Located in Kalungu District, 13 kilometers from Masaka Town along Villa Maria Road. The school offers a wide range of subjects in both Arts and Sciences, with state of the art learning infrastructure, and a competent staff to enable students excel in whatever subject specialization of their choice.

Foundation Body
The school is run by Bannabikira (Daughters of Mary) Sisters with the headquarters found in Bwanda. The founding body is a Pontifical religious congregation of women within the Catholic church.
The school has both the 'O' and 'A' level sections. It follows the New Lower Secondary School Curriculum at 'O' level and 3 principal subjects at 'A' level of their choice and two subsidiary subjects.
At St. Aloysius students take part in a variety of activities, from academics, youth skilling, games and sports as well as music dance and drama through various clubs.
Students in the school are taught to be God fearing through termly retreats, be prayerful, attend mass regularly and observe the sacraments of the church.
