Welcome to the Department of Business Studies

Our department deals with business related subjects. A business is defined as an organization or enterprising entity engaged in commercial, industrial or professional activities. At St. Aloysius Girls S.S. Bwanda under this department we take Entrepreneurship at ‘O’ and ‘A’ level and Economics at A-Level.

We are a team of six well trained and qualified teachers in this department and these include;

• Mr. Ndaaza Innocent
• Mr. Maasa Fred
• Madam Asiimire Agnes and
• Mr. Ogwal Dickens.

We run students’ business clubs in both O and A levels. This has helped them practice what they learn in class and has helped them to cultivate a saving culture. Business field trips and internship trainings of our students are done and our subjects are the reason for living a happy life because every subject must be learnt with an entrepreneurial/ economic interpretation. For example, when one studies biology and chemistry and becomes a doctor without entrepreneurship background, will be a poor doctor who is heavily burdened with debt because he cannot multiply the salary he receives given his limited business knowledge. The same applies to other professions.

We have seen a continuous, stable and good performance in our department with many learners scoring distinctions at ‘O’ Level and A/B’s at ‘A’ level.

We now desire to see that our students form business clubs that will outlive the school life and continue to earn them a living through passive investments.
